The fabulous trip of Amélie K.

Hey Servas friends,
I am Amélie, 19 years old, from Frankfurt, Germany. For the last two weeks between my final exams, I took the opportunity to go on an amazing solo Interrail trip through Eastern Europe.
I visited incredible cities - Prague, Bratislava, Budapest, Zagreb, Split and Ljubljana - that I had never been to before.

I was also lucky to meet some very nice Servas families who hosted me in Prague and Budapest :)
We had great conversations, spent the evenings playing card games and I was even invited to join a Czech 60th birthday party with the whole family where I met another Servas member from the Netherlands!

I really enjoyed being welcomed in these for me new cities, experiencing them from a local perspective and getting a more personal connection to each city and country.
When I look back on this trip, I think not only of the beautiful cities but primarily of my kind hosts who I hope to meet again someday, maybe in my home town!
